# Convenience Fees for Payment Links

Convenience fees are buyer charges for providing an alternative payment channel (e.g., online or by phone). They are only supported for **fixed** payment links.

Convenience fees must be a **flat amount** (not a percentage) and cannot be applied when bank account (ACH) is the only permitted payment method. ## 1. Navigate to Payment Links

1. In the Dashboard, navigate to **Tools** in the left navigation.
2. Click **Payment Links**.
3. Click **Create Payment Link**.

The creation form displays with a live preview that updates as you fill out each section.

## 2. Fill Out Basic Form Information

1. Fill out the [Basic Information](https://docs.finix.com/low-code-no-code/payment-links/quickstart-dashboard#basic-information) section of the form.
2. Fill out the [Product or Service Information](https://docs.finix.com/low-code-no-code/payment-links/quickstart-dashboard#product-or-service-information) section of the form.

## 3. Add a Convenience Fee in Transaction Options

1. Under **Transaction Options**, enter a **Terms of Service URL** (required for all payment links).

2. Expand **Additional Transaction Options**.

3. Under **Buyer Fee**, select **Convenience Fee**.

4. Enter a flat dollar amount.

- The convenience fee amount must be the same across all transactions.

- The convenience fee amount displays in the buyer preview.

## 4. Create and Share the Payment Link

Complete the remaining sections of the form:

- [Advanced Settings](https://docs.finix.com/low-code-no-code/payment-links/quickstart-dashboard#advanced-settings)
- [Customize Branding](https://docs.finix.com/low-code-no-code/payment-links/customize-branding)

When done, click **Create Payment Link** to finalize. You'll see a confirmation and can view the payment link details page.

From the payment link details page, you can [share the payment link](https://docs.finix.com/low-code-no-code/payment-links/sharing-payment-links) with buyers.

## What Buyers See

Buyers will see the convenience fee amount added to their total.
