Managing Payouts

Learn how to manage payouts, including limits you can send.

When you sign up for payouts, you'll also be granted access to a Payouts Dashboard. Note, for those who already use Finix Payments, this dashboard is separate from the Finix Payments Dashboard and is dedicated entirely to helping you manage your payouts activity.

Payouts Dashboard

The Payouts Dashboard is a handy tool that helps you keep track of your payout activity all in one user-friendly place. Use the Payouts Dashboard to review your payouts, manage recipients, review limits, and add funds.

Add your team to the Payouts Dashboard to help your business get started creating and managing payouts through Finix.

On the Home page, you can view:

You can also click into an individual entry to review the payout in detail.

Company Page

You can view all your payout limits on the Company page in one aggregated view.

Recipients Page

Use the Recipients page to review a recipient in detail. You can see the current limits set for the recipient and their current totals.

Balance Adjustments Page

Use the Balance Adjustments page to review your account's current balance and financial activity.

To send payouts in a live environment, you must top up your balance.

Account Balance Entry

When you add funds to your account or send a payout, a balance_entry gets created that you can view in the Payouts Dashboard.

Each balance_entry corresponds to either:

Usage fees

Fees for payouts get calculated outside your account balance. As a result, your Account Balance should only reflect the addition and debit of funds due to payouts.

Payout Limits

Finix incorporates limits on the volume and number of transactions you can do on a daily, weekly, and monthly rolling basis for both ACH and Card transactions. These rules help safeguard you against fraud and comply with card brand rules.

On the Finix Dashboard, you can view your limits from the Company page.

Limit Description
Application Card Velocity Limits Limits applied to card transactions at the Application level across all recipients.
Application ACH Velocity Limits Limits applied to bank or ACH transactions at the Application level across all recipients.
Recipient Card Velocity Limits Limits applied to card transactions for each individual recipient.
Recipient ACH Velocity Limits Limits applied to bank or ACH transactions for each individual recipient.

Finix can also set different time zones and start dates for each cadence (e.g., Daily, Weekly, etc.). By default, the cadence set is:
